Jai Girnari Gaushala Trust is a registered charitable trust (Reg. No. E/1444) at Rakanpur, on the Science City – Santej Road near Ahmedabad. We keep Gir cows, and everything we sell comes from them. Our ghee is made the way it has always been made — the bilona way. Raw A2 milk is boiled, set as curd overnight, hand-churned in an earthen pot to lift the makkhan, the butter is collected and washed, and then slow-simmered until it turns to clear golden ghee. Nothing is added and nothing is taken out: no artificial colour, no chemicals, no preservatives. Every batch is laboratory tested. Why A2: Gir is an Indian desi breed, and its milk carries A2 beta-casein rather than the A1 beta-casein of hybrid breeds. Many people find A2 ghee easier to digest, richer in taste and aroma, and closer to what Ayurveda has always recommended. Alongside the ghee we offer raw, unprocessed Gir forest honey and A2 Gir cow milk powder with its own natural sweetness.
